The VORTEX and Fusebox Festival proudly present the commissioned world premiere of The Black Feminist Guide to the Human Body, a new choreopoem by award-winning playwright and Black cultural studies scholar Lisa B. Thompson.
This show runs April 12-May 4 at The VORTEX. Opening weekend, April 12-14, is part of the Fusebox Festival. Tickets to all shows are available now!
MALUM MALUS BURLESQUE: BELTANE

The wheel of the year inspires Malum Malus, an occult burlesque chantry of witches. Beltane heralds the arrival of summer. This is an auspicious night for the chantry. The spirits of the Bacchae drive the witches into a frenzy. On this night they are more powerful...and more unpredictable. Woe betide the poor souls who wander into their workings.
LA MALETA DE MAEBELLE
JUNE 14-29, 2024
A bilingual adaptation of a celebrated and beloved picture book for all ages. Maebelle and her friend, a migratory bird, teach one another how to remember and how to let go of things. Featuring various styles of puppetry, environmental themes, and Colombian music by Kiko Villamizar. Featuring puppetry and performance by Stephanie Vasquez Fonseca and Gricelda Silva. Directed by Caroline Reck.

SUMMER YOUTH THEATRE 2024
Teens ages 13-17 are invited to audition for the youth ensemble who will train together, rehearse, and perform Thrive, Or What You Will, a new play by LM Feldman.
Summer Youth Theatre is tuition-free. No prior theatre experience is required to participate. Students of all backgrounds are encouraged to audition.
